Street Entertainment

Mansfield District Council has joined forces with town centre businesses to help to improve this important shopping area even further.

Dedicated town centre staff, under its new Superintendent, ensures that any problems arising are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Summer entertainment has become a key feature of the town centre to keep local shoppers and visitors happy to be in Mansfield.

On the security front, Mansfield town centre has invested in a dedicated (CCTV) Closed Circuit Television camera system. It is designed, not just to capture anything untoward, but to give traders and those involved in the town centre’s activities a "feel good factor".

A supervised evening car park scheme, introduced by Mansfield District Council, means that theatre-goers and other late night visitors to town can leave their vehicles safe in the knowledge that they are under supervision by security staff.

Leisure

Leisure is an important factor in any community - take a look at what is on offer in and around Mansfield.

Football Club

Like most communities, football plays a big part in Mansfield’s sporting life. Field Mill is the home of Mansfield Town Football Club - the Stags - and this summer work is due to start on upgrading the ground and its facilities.

The club actively encourages youth training schemes, often holding open days for schools to visit the Field Mill ground on Quarry Lane.
