D.A.R.E.

One of the most successful initiatives aimed at youngsters of all ages, is the Drug Abuse Resistance Education programme, known as D.A.R.E. It is a partnership between Nottinghamshire Police, Mansfield District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, North Nottinghamshire Health Promotion and many local businesses.

D.A.R.E. is aimed at children aged 9-13 who are taught at school by a D.A.R.E. trained police officer on the development of personal skills, attributes and strategies needed to resist the pressures to experiment with solvents, drugs and alcohol.
